Job vacancy Seafood Trader

​Our client is a European food trading company, focusing on meat and seafood, with access to global markets.

This role can either by remote of office-based for a Seafood Trader, with responsibility for buying and selling fish and seafood products, negotiating prices, and maintaining relationships with suppliers and customers. In this role, you will help generate income and control risks by performing standard trading work, with a particular focus on French speaking West African countries, including Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso & Cameroon.

We are looking for ideally a French speaker with a trading background in seafood and fish products, and in return our client offers excellent financial market support, an established trading brand, great internal support systems and a market leading commission scheme.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years experience in a trading role with knowledge of seafood markets

• Ideally able to speak French, but not essential.

• Understanding of West African markets would be highly desirable.

• Food application and new product development experience with customer R&D
